Our Sweet Story

Hi! My name is Erin. OMG, is this even real life? I can't believe you've landed on this page, but I'm so happy you're here! I'm told I need to tell you about myself and OMG OCP's, so, if you're interested keep going - if you just want the good stuff, the menu is next door!

Oatmeal Cream Pies (OCP's) hold a special place in my heart. When I was little, I had an uncle who lived next door named David, and he loved Little Debbie® Oatmeal Cream Pies. We were very close, and when he unexpectedly passed away from medical complications in 1997, I was only in the 10th grade. My heart broke.

Years passed and not one time did I see a Little Debbie® OCP box and not think of David. But then I spent most of my post-college 20's working around the world, no where near a Little Debbie® box, and slowly that memory faded.

Creating Something Uniquely Delicious

I returned home in 2013 without a kitchen skill to my name. I was looking through a magazine when an insert of recipes fell out. Given my lack of knowledge to cook or bake, I would have typically ignored this; yet starring back at me were the words "Oatmeal Cream Pies." I smiled, was overcome with warmth and felt something, or maybe someone, saying 'try it.' I peeked at the recipe and recognized all the ingredients, so I figured I'd give it a go.

I spent six hours on that first batch and messed the recipe up royally; however I created something that hardly looked like a cookie, but tasted uniquely delicious. I took them to a local pot-luck and was shocked at how many "OMG these are amazing!" and "you should sell these!" comments I received.

Go for it!

Now, after seven consistent years of the same "OMG ..." comments, I'm going for it! I have bettered and perfected the process, timing and made the recipe uniquely mine - a balanced ratio of a cream cheese filling between two soft, yet crispy oatmeal cookies.?

David would LOVE them; and now instead of someone else's OCPs, when I hear "OMG, these are so good" THAT, is what reminds me of him instead. OMG OCP's is for him.
